This 95 page book is great for those who are getting ready to be married or who are already married and struggling with submission to their husband.

At first I felt a little intimated at the thought of reading a book I knew would speak to my heart. Because I love my husband and because I love my Lord I decided to give this book a try.

This book includes the following chapters:

 1-Why did God command a wife to obey her husband?

 2-What do the scriptures say about a wife's disobedience?

3- Does God really mean what he says?

4- Are there any Bible examples?

5- Don't I have any rights?

                                                                               6- But what about the problems?

                                                                               7-How to enter in: unconditional surrender

                                                                               8-The far reaching consequences

The author uses lots of Bible references to support the lessons in the book, along with Bible and personal examples about submission. In my opinion this book is a must for those engaged to be married and would be a great resource for premaital counseling.

Then Sings my Soul Book 3 by Robert Morgan

Sing His Praises. This is what this book is all about. The book is divided into several categories which include Biblical, German, Medieval and Contemporary songs. Part 1 of the book gives you the history of Hymnody. Part 2 includes the hymn (with music), and a one page summary on the history of the hymn. Part 3 gives you the hymn(with music) and a hymn story of 6 well known hymns.

This book is great for music teachers, worship leaders, pastors,pianist, performer or any music enthusiast. I personally love it as a devotional. This is Book 3 of the series, but can definitely function by itself.

The Mouse in our House by Louise Watson

This short 29 page kids book about the antics of mouse in a families house is perfect for the kid who always brings some animal home to his parents and asks to keep it as a pet. The family in this house discovers the mouse and finds a way to make him a permanent part of the family. This is a nice reader style book for 1-3 grader. There is some rhyming text although not with every line. The illustrations are simple and cute. I love how the author described the characters in the beginning of the story as not sure to be excited or afraid of the sight of the mouse. I can relate to this, as a person with rodent phobia. But in the end the mouse finds a perfect home.

The Homeschooler's Book of Lists by Sonya Haskins

Over 250 lists, charts and facts making it easier to plan and organize any homeschoolers curriculum. A wonderful resource to look up information quickly. Topics include history, math, science, geography, art, religion and more. Book is divided into subject categories with a handy chart at beginning of each subject area that includes the chart name and page number. Information is listed neatly and is easy to read. 

I personally love this resource. I find it a great supplement to our homeschooling curriculum. I have been able to pick it up many times and answer questions right on the spot (even quicker than it would be to look up the information online). This is the perfect addition to any homeschool as well as a great handy resource for any teacher or parent with inquisitive kids.

What is Heaven Like? by Bevery Lewis

1. Have you every wondered what Heaven was like? Has your child ever asked you questions about Heaven? If so this is a great picture book that you can read to your child and answer some of those questions. This is a great tool especially for a child who has lost someone they love and wonders what life in Heaven is like. With beautiful illustrations and appropriate verses on each page you can share the wonders of heaven with that special child in your life.

The only thing I think could have been different about the book was the fact that the salvation message could have been alot clearer ("I know alot more about heaven now..Its God's promise to me...to all of us").  Maybe if the boy in the story would have stated that he was saved or it was made clearer how to get to heaven.

Overall a good book to start a thought provoking conservation with your child.

The Monster Mix-up by Victoria L Johnson

Have your kids ever mixed you up into their crazy adventures. This story is about how one mom paid back her two monster trapping boys. This is a cute and silly book about brothers who are positive a monster is coming down the hall to their bedroom; so they set a trap to capture it. But when they do they are in for a big surprise. This book was based on a true story about the author and her boys.
The rhyming text and illustrations were perfect for my boys of 5 and 8. We loved the surprise ending and laughed for awhile about it.  A great book to share with your kids and enjoy the funny things they drag us parents into.

On a personal note, this book challenged and encouraged me as a mother. I want nothing more than my children to have a wonderful personal relationship with my Lord, but find it hard to fit my own time into my exhausting day. As parents we lead by example, how can a child learn if they have nothing to follow. I gained a world of information from this book and have already made a change in my personal time with Jesus. To share a few: reading my bible during the day so my children can visually see that time to spend in His word, posting memory verses around the house and many more(I don't want to spoil the book).
